Buhle Dlamini is the Chairman and Director of Young and Able Pty (Ltd) in South Africa, a learning and development firm specializing in providing learning interventions and designing leadership development programs for companies to activate the potential of current and future leaders.
Although he is now based in Nova Scotia, Canada he works across Canada, Africa, the United States, Europe and Asia. Buhle is also a member of the Duke Corporate Education Global Learning Resource Network. His main areas of expertise include assisting leaders to Own the Future of Talent Management; Decoding Afro-‐Centric Leadership Principles for the 21 st century; leading and facilitating Diversity and Cultural intelligence sessions for teams and leaders.
Prior to founding Young and Able in 2003, Buhle worked in youth development with YFC and Salvation Army In South Africa, Germany, USA and the UK and also gained experience in the areas of generational theory, change management and executive leadership development, while serving as an associate consultant of TomorrowToday.biz (2004-‐2006). Buhle was also project leader for the development of Heartlines 8 award-‐winning films on Values that saw him meet Nelson Mandela and receive an award from Desmond Tutu (Archbishop Emeritus) for Nation Building.
Buhle is a business speaker internationally speaking on Talent Management, on Africa and the future, leadership and diversity. He is the author of five business and personal development books.
Some of Buhle’s recent clients include speaking, strategy facilitation and faculty roles with Barclays Bank, Europcar SA, JP Morgan, Samsung, Sasol, SA National Prosecuting Authority and speaking at YALE University’s Africa Week 2012 in New Haven CT,USA.
Buhle has a Harvard University Certificate in Strategic Management, a Diploma in Youth Development from University of South Africa as well as another Certificate in Strategic Management from UNISA. He is a qualified Senior Leadership Facilitator from Columba 1400 International Leadership Institute in Skye, Scotland and was part of LeadersQuest to China in 2010.
